Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Momants B.V., registered at Kloveniersburgwal 131B, 1011 KD Amsterdam, The Netherlands, is the data controller for personal data processed through this website. Questions about this policy: hello@momants.ai.

2. What data we collect

  • Demo bookings: name, email address, company and any details you share when scheduling a demo. Scheduling is handled by Calendly, which processes this data under its own privacy policy.
  • Contact: anything you send us by email or phone.
  • Maps: our About page embeds a Google Maps view of our office. Google receives your IP address when that map loads.
  • Website analytics: aggregated, cookie-less usage statistics (pages visited, referrer, device type). Measurement runs on Plausible Analytics software that we host ourselves, on our own server in the EU: the data goes to no third party and never leaves our infrastructure. We do not build individual visitor profiles.
  • Website chat: messages you send to the on-site chat agent are processed by our own Momants conversational platform to answer your questions and improve the service.
  • WhatsApp: if you choose to message us on WhatsApp, your phone number and messages reach us through WhatsApp Ireland Ltd, which processes them as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. We only receive what you send.

Cookies and local storage

We set no advertising or tracking cookies, and our analytics are cookie-less. If you arrive on one of our campaign links, we store one item in your browser's session storage: a key named momants.cta-arm holding a single letter, which records which version of our demo button that link showed you, so it stays the same as you move between pages. It contains no identifier, is never sent to us or to anyone else, and it is discarded when you close the tab.

Because it is not strictly necessary to deliver this website, we have kept it to the smallest thing that works, session-scoped rather than persistent, and disclose it here rather than ask you to dismiss a banner for it.

Job applications

If you apply for a role through the form at /careers/apply, we collect the role you applied for, your name, email address, phone number if you give one, any links you add (LinkedIn, GitHub, a portfolio or another address, with the short name you give it), where you are based, what you wrote about your motivation and your most relevant work, when you could start, and the CV file if you attach one. We ask for nothing else, and we run no background checks and no automated scoring.

The application endpoint also processes your IP address and browser information transiently to route the request, apply abuse controls and deliver it. We do not add either to the application sent to Slack or save a local application record. If the optional Cloudflare Turnstile spam check is enabled, Cloudflare also processes your IP address and challenge data to verify the submission.

We use it for one thing: handling your application. Our server holds the form fields and optional CV only in request-scoped memory while delivering them; it does not save an application record or CV file locally. Complete applications reach a private channel in the team's Slack workspace, where the people doing the hiring read them. It goes to no third-party applicant tracking system, no job board and no recruiter, it is never used for marketing, and we do not keep an unsuccessful applicant on file to contact about something else unless you ask us to.

Slack retains the delivered message and CV according to our workspace retention policy; there is no separate saved server copy. We do not state a fixed period here because Slack workspace policy governs that copy. Ask us to delete yours and we will handle the request in Slack: email hello@momants.ai from the address you applied with, or tell us which address you used.

We show success only after the application and, when attached, the CV have completed delivery. If delivery fails or the server restarts during the request, there is no recoverable server copy and you may need to submit again or email us. Transfers can take more than a few seconds.

While you are filling the form in, your answers are held in your own browser's session storage, under the key momants.application-draft, so a reload does not cost you what you have written. That copy never leaves your browser, is discarded when you close the tab, and never contains the CV file. Nothing is sent to us until you press send on the last step.

3. Why we process it

We process personal data to respond to your enquiries, schedule and hold product demos, improve this website, and (where you ask us to) keep you informed about Momants. The legal bases are your consent and our legitimate interest in operating and marketing our business.

4. Retention

We keep enquiry and demo data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

5. Sharing

We never sell personal data. We share it only with processors that help us run our business (scheduling, analytics, email, hosting), all bound by data-processing agreements, and only within the scope described above. One exception: where you start the contact yourself on a third-party messaging service, such as WhatsApp, that service is an independent controller rather than our processor, and its own terms govern what it does with your data.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to processing. Contact hello@momants.ai to exercise any of these rights. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version always lives on this page, with the date above.
